What's wrong with Manchester?

It's end of November, but it already feels like winter out there. It's -2 degree out there now. For the past two days, there were dense fog. Reminds me of a song : A foggy day.. in London town~ it had me low, it had me down~... I always hoped that I could come to UK, to experience this kind of weather, who knows it is this annoying.

Had dinner in Taiwu with dear and Jessica today. My favourite dish there is XO酱金菇炒肥牛.. Today we tried something new, which was really nice- steamed spinach with three types of egg- salted egg, thousand year egg and normal egg. SO DELICIOUS! And we had the 香酥鸭.. I think the one in Empire Restaurant tastes better.

Well, we spared some space in our stomach for the pancake from the Christmas Market!! It tasted quite nice, especially with the chocolate topping! We didn't stay for long as it was really really cold! I must go back again and take lots of pictures. Nevertheless, it is really different from the Christmas celebration in Malaysia. -_-... of course!

I am feeling too bloated now. Kept belching and had hiccups. AH!!! Help me.

Listened to a meaningful sermon in church today. What I learnt:-

1. We always call Jesus our friend, which is not wrong. However, we tend to forget that He is also our God. It's human's nature to take friends for granted. So, bear in mind that Jesus is our God.

2. Gos is always by our side. He never leaves us but often we push Him away.

Sigh, lab tomorrow~

Week 9

Monday

F: What's for lunch today?
L: Let's go to Pizza Co.
F: Alright. I'll have chicken burger.
L: I want three chicken wings with fries.
Hmmm.. Spicy chicken wing sounds nice.
Let's have three of that too alright?
F: Ok... I'm hungry too.

It's Lips Licking Good..

Tuesday

F: What's for lunch today?
L: Pizza Co??
F: Again?
L: Ya, I want to eat the spicy wings.
Taste like 'ayam masak merah'.

F: Fine.
L: Today, six spicy wings for me with
fries and three normal wings ok?

F: Six? Fair enough. I want three. Hehe.

Wednesday

L: Greggs today?
F: No please. I don't want to eat bread.
L: Pizza Co. again?
F: (Hesitated) Will they recognize us
for going there EVERYDAY?
Anyway, who cares. Let's go.

L: Half pound beef burger? I want
chips and spicy wings. Are six enough?

F: Ya. Hey that will make me fat.
But who cares? Haha.

Thurday

L: Please, can we go to Pizza Co.?
I want the spicy wings.

F: I want that too. It's just so delicious.
I'm addicted. But I want the burger too.

L: I want a pizza. Chicken and mushroom.
The famous one. And six spicy wings?

F: What? You are going to finish it. I'll
have two wings.

L: I just can't resist. Hehe.
******
F: I'm so full. I'll have one slice of your
pizza. The mushroom smells nice.
It's fresh. Love it. You finish the rest.

L: Sure...
F: (speechless)
******
F: My tummy was churning so badly
during lecture. I was too full.

L: Mine too. Some more, the class was
so quiet. So I tried to talk as loud as
I could to cover the sound. Haha.

******(Dinner Time)
F: I am not going for dinner. I want to sleep.
****** No dinner on Thursay. Sore Throat.

Friday

L: It's 2.30pm. I have lecture at 3pm.
Where to go for lunch?

F: (thinking about Pizza Co.)
L: Greggs ok? Not much time we have
and you were already complaining
about having sore throat for eating
too much CHICKEN WINGS.

F: Fine...

Energy Saving IDIOT!

Damn IDIOT!
Someone went to the toilet and after using it, he/she switched off the lights of the showers. Damn. I was inside. Luckily I'd done showering and was just drying my hair. He/She must be having eyesight problem, or blind to see the shower room door closed! EVEN THOUGH there wasn't any sound. Never was there anyone who switched the lights off... but when I was in there?

Go to www.urbandictionary.com and search for MALAYSIA... You'll be surprised...

Addicted!

I am addicted to listening to Jay Chou's 'dao xiang'. It has good lyrics and of course, it's by Jay Chou and it sounds so relaxing and also motivative.

My cousins just went back to their own places. We had splendid time together, also I am grateful that at least my cousins are in UK. It feels like home. We tried nice food, went to new places, and they really enjoyed shopping. I've decided to go to Nottingham in December to meet up with them before Veron goes back to Miri. I must go!

Weather was freak. Damn cold. And I heard that it snowed in Manchester this morning at 4am. Sigh... I was sleeping when it snowed. I hope it will snow again. The Manchester Christmas Market was cool. It was drizzling when we went. Ah never mind, I am definitely going back again to try the nice food. It's a place you must go if you are in Manchester.

Lectures again tomorrow, but just for an hour. Haha. But I have to do my stupid programming coursework. So... so..... I don't know yet. Haha.

I am bloated. Ate too much dim sum today afternoon..... Nice..

MATHS TEST!!

Dr. Paul decided to give us a Maths test today. No numbers in any of the questions. All about dead and living algae.. Since it will not be assessed, everyone simply did it and submitted. Er... I tried my best *wink*. Best excuse. Anyway, I didn't understand what he taught today. CBA, CAO, CBO......
Worse of all, 'T with a tail'?? That's what he said. Before lecture, I was lucky enough to see him cycle pass me while waiting at the bus stop today. I have no comment about him, just one thing--poor thing..

Coursework Coursework Coursework!!

I found myself becoming dumb after the fever (or I was actually dumb all the time?)

Stupid fire alarm went off again in Ewings (dear's block) today. I was there when it rang. It rang yesterday because of a burnt sausage, I heard. Today it's because someone cooking.. He managed to make the whole kitchen so smoky. Poor
ROOM 6 guy had been framed for triggerring the fire alarm because of the smell from his room. BAD SMELL! And the tutor from Ewings did not even come out. I wonder what she was doing.

Missed the dinner today as I was sleeping so deep. Haha. Bread for dinner then...

Finally

It's been so long since I last blogged. Life has been quite superb and fantastic in Manchester. Lots of pictures taken...

First, the pictures of dear and I in Manchester one Wednesday afternoon. Since it's a half day, we both spent the afternoon walking around the city, from Deansgate to Salford. Sceneries were nice. We can see that many were already preparing for Christmas. Oh, what a wonderful festival, yet to be celebrated in the UK. I am desperately looking forward to it. I love Christmas. Will there be a white christmas in Manchester? I pray.

Friday, after lectures we went to Taiwu. I call it the best Chinese restaurant in Manchester--cheap and delicious dim sum. Cheap as in relatively cheap compared to other food in Manchester. The things we must have everytime---

my favourite porridge, but not as nice as Lutong cafe's one

chicken feet and pork rib with rice, dear's favourite

chee cheong fan

We walked around before dear had his lecture at 3pm.

I realized I had never taken a picture of the Picadilly Gardens. That day I sat with 'Jesus' (someone in my hall who looks so much like Jesus). I wanted to take a picture of him, but he's just sitting opposite me. I didn't talk to him too. He looked so serious and quiet, while enjoying his breakfast.

saw this in China town.

my oil burner from body shop, got another one for dear as a free gift for my birthday

My ALTON TOWERS TRIP!! I love the garden. Took merely one thrill ride-- The Air. I am not a roller coaster type of person. It nearly killed me. Haha. It was damn cold that day when we went. I got to see trees and shrubs of different colours. It was about 500 acres in area. I'm in love with it. There was a castle in Alton Towers, with more than hundreds of years of history. Now they made in into a TOWER of HORROR. I went in, it did smell very old but nothing scary. There's one more which they said was the scariest. I didn't dare to go in. Haha. It was drizzling but it didn't chase away the crowd. And guess what? I found 20 pounds on the floor!!

The Air

The Air--too thrilling for me (My first ride in a roller coaster in my whole life, could be last too)

Nemesis (dear went on twice with my pass)

it feels like it's going into the drain
